La peinture noire et les marques blanches rendent hommage à un schéma connu sous le nom de "Vandy 1", qui était à l'origine porté par l'avion du commandant et le vaisseau amiral du VX-4 "Evaluators". The black paint and white markings pay tribute to a scheme known as "Vandy 1," which was originally carried by the commander's aircraft and flagship of VX-4 "Evaluators." Use of the name "Vandy" applied to all of VX-4's jets, and it originated as an abbreviation of the squadron's official "Vanderbilt" callsign used at that time.

Le 04 novembre 1965, le CDR Clarence W. Stoddard, Jr., directeur général du VA-25 'Fist of the Fleet', aux commandes du A-1H Skyraider Bu. N° 135297, NE/572, du Carrier Air Wing Two à bord de l'USS Midway, a transporté une bombe spéciale aux Nord-Vietnamiens en commémoration de la 6 millionième livre de munitions larguées. Cette bombe était unique en raison de son type... c'était des toilettes. Également unique à cette mission est le fait que cet avion a été nommé 'Paper Tiger II' (un nom temporaire utilisé pour ce seul vol)..

On November 04, 1965, CDR Clarence W. Stoddard, Jr., Executive Officer of VA-25 'Fist of the Fleet', flying A-1H Skyraider Bu. No. 135297, NE/572, from Carrier Air Wing Two aboard USS Midway, carried a special bomb to the North Vietnamese in commemoration of the 6-millionth pound of ordnance dropped. This bomb was unique because of the type..... it was a toilet. Also unique to this mission is the fact this aircraft was named 'Paper Tiger II' (a temporary name used for just this one flight).
