McDonnell Douglas CF-188 "Hornet" - RCAF - Preview 150th anniversary of the confederation of Canada
Les représentants de l'Aviation royale du Canada (ARC) ont donné aux participants à la conférence du Conseil international des spectacles aériens (ICAS) à Las Vegas un aperçu de la conception prévue pour le Hornet de démonstration CF-18 de 2017, le 7 décembre 2016.
Le Hornet de démonstration 2017 sera peint pour célébrer le 150e anniversaire de la Confédération du Canada et honorera l'histoire de la RCAF et des Forces armées canadiennes comme faisant partie de la fière histoire du Canada.
Les couleurs principales sont le rouge et le blanc, les couleurs traditionnelles du Canada.
Le logo officiel du « Canada 150 » est placé tout au long de la conception. Le logo est composé d'une série de diamants, ou «joyaux de célébration», disposés dans la forme de la feuille d'érable emblématique. Les quatre diamants de la base représentent les quatre premières provinces qui ont formé la Confédération en 1867: l'Ontario, le Québec, le Nouveau-Brunswick et la Nouvelle-Écosse. Des pointes de diamants supplémentaires s'étendent de la base pour créer neuf points de plus. Au total, ils symbolisent les 13 provinces et territoires du Canada.
Sur l'aile gauche, le temps de la confédération est indiqué avec l'année de création de la confédération, 1867, et l'année du 150e anniversaire, 2017. L'aile droite porte le nom officiel de la célébration, «Canada 150».
L’ARC est fière du rôle qu'elle a joué dans l'histoire du Canada et les membres de l'équipe de démonstration CF-18 sont honorés de représenter l’ARC et notre nation pendant l'année du 150e anniversaire du Canada.
Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) representatives gave attendees at the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) conference in Las Vegas a sneak peek at the planned design for the 2017 CF-18 Demonstration Hornet on December 7, 2016.
Next year’s Demonstration Hornet will be painted to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the confederation of Canada, and will honour the history of the RCAF and Canadian Armed Forces as a part of Canada’s proud history.
The main colours are red and white, Canada’s traditional colours.
The official logo for Canada 150 is placed throughout the design. The logo is composed of a series of diamonds, or “celebratory gems”, arranged in the shape of the iconic maple leaf. The four diamonds at the base represent the four original provinces that formed Confederation in 1867: Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Additional diamonds extend out from the base to create nine more points. In total they symbolize Canada’s 13 provinces and territories.
On the left wing, the timespan of confederation is shown with the year of confederation, 1867, and the 150th anniversary year – 2017. The right wing bears the official name of the celebration – “Canada 150”.
The RCAF is proud of the part it has played in Canadian history and the members the CF-18 Demo Team are honoured to represent the RCAF and our nation during Canada’s 150th anniversary year.
