Décoration spéciale appliquée sur un Westland HC.2 "Puma" de la Royal Air Force (RAF) basé à RAF Benson avec une décoration spéciale pour les 50 ans de service (1971/2021) du Puma dans la RAF. Le schéma de l'avion est similaire à celui que les premiers Puma HC Mk 1 ont été peints lors de leur livraison en 1971 mais avec plusieurs différences notables :
- le carter moteur arbore les insignes de toutes les escadrilles qui ont piloté le Puma, aussi bien en HC Mk 1 qu'en HC Mk 2 ;
- la nageoire caudale est ornée du drapeau de l'Union
- le logo standard Royal Air Force sur la porte de la cabine a été remplacé par le logo Puma 50 sur mesure
Special decoration applied to Westland HC.2 "Puma" of Royal Air Force (RAF) based in RAF Benson with a special marking for the 50 years (1971/2021) of Puma service in the RAF.
The aircraft scheme is similar to that which the first Puma HC Mk 1 aircraft were painted when they were delivered in 1971 but with several notable differences :
- the engine housing boasts the badges of all the squadrons who have flown the Puma, both as a HC Mk 1 and a HC Mk 2;
- the tail fin is emblazoned with the union flag; and,
- the standard Royal Air Force logo on the cabin door has been replaced with the bespoke Puma 50 logo.
