F4EJ Phantom II Kaï - 7 Kokudan - 302 Hikotaï - 40th anniversary

Pour fêter son 40° anniversaire, le 302 Hikotaï du 7 Kokudan basé à Hyakuri Air Base a réalisé une décoration spéciale sur un F4EJ Phantom II Kaï

Cette décoration reprend fidèlement l'emblème de ce squadron qui est un aigle stylisé.

La base aérienne d'Hyakuri (rebaptisée en 2010 Ibaraki Airport) fut inaugurée en 1937, au nord-est de Tokyo. Elle a récemment été ouverte au trafic civil, tout en continuant d'accueillir des unités militaires japonaises.

Hyakuri dépend du commandement central (Chubu Koku Hometai). La JASDF y a basé une escadre de chasse (Dai 7 Koku-dan), avec un escadron de McDonnell Douglas F-4DJ (Dai 302 Hiko-tai) et un escadron de Mitsubishi F-15DJ (Dai 305 Hiko-tai).

Le Teisatu Koku-tai (groupe de reconnaissance tactique) y déploie également l'un de ses deux escadrons, le Dai 501 Hiko-tai (évoluant sur RF-4E et RF-4EJ), tandis qu'une unité de recherche et de sauvetage assure des missions SAR dans la zone, avec des hélicoptères UH-60J et des avions U-125A (British Aerospace 125).

The Hyakuri air base (renamed in 2010 Ibaraki Airport) was inaugurated in 1937, in the North-East of Tokyo. It was recently opened with the civil traffic, while continuing to accommodate Japanese military units. Hyakuri depends on the central command (Chubu Koku Hometai). The JASDF based there a squadron of hunting (Dai 7 Koku-dan), with a squadron of McDonnell Douglas F-4DJ (Dai 302 Hiko-tai) and a squadron of Mitsubishi F-15DJ (Dai 305 Hiko-tai). Teisatu Koku-tai (tactical group of recognition) there also deploys one of its two squadrons, Dai 501 Hiko-tai (evolving on RF-4E and RF-4EJ), while a research unit and of rescue ensures of missions SAR in the zone, with helicopters UH-60J and planes U-125A (British Aerospace 125)
