Les lettres d'indicatif d'appel VR-W et la dédicace de l'avion sur le nez (“W” jaune) sont identiques à celle du Bombardier Vickers de Wellington du Wing Commander John “Moose” Fulton, le premier commandant et chéri de l'unité en 1941. Les insignes d'Élan sur le nez et le numéro de série KB799 sont ceux de l'Avro Lancaster du RAF 419 squadron et le nose art "Elan/Moose" est le plus vieux connu de ce squadron.

The call letters VR-W and the dedication of the aircraft on the nose (with yellow “W”) are rooted with the Vickers Wellington Bomber flown by Wing Commander John “Moose” Fulton, the first and beloved commanding officer of the unit in 1941. The Moose insignia on the nose and registration KB799 belong to the Avro Lancaster era of 419 Squadron, and the oldest known "Moose" nose art for the unit.
