Leonardo/Agusta Westland HH-139B (AW-139M) - 84º Gruppo Combat/SAR - 15º Stormo - 100th anniversary

Décoration spéciale appliquée sur un Agusta Westland HH-139B (AW-139M) du 84º Gruppo Combat/SAR - 15º Stormo de la Force aérienne italienne (Aeronautica Militare - AM) basé à Gioia del Colle pour les 100 ans du squadron en 2024 et le centenaire de l'Armée de l'Air Italienne. Il arbore une livrée spéciale reprenant les armoiries du département qui raconte une histoire, un hommage au passé et un regard tourné vers l'avenir, à commencer par le Cant-Z 506 du 287e escadron, représenté par la croix de Savoie sur la plaque centrale ornée du symbole de la 15e escadre. Au centre, la mer arbore les couleurs des armoiries du Département ; sur l’avant de la cabine, une tête stylisée de Daffy Duck, emblème du Centre, se distingue, tandis que sur le nez, les ailes de l’aigle sauveteur se détachent. La vue inférieure révèle le symbole 100 en forme d’infini qui se fond avec un 4 ; en effectuant une rotation de 90 degrés, on aperçoit également le nombre 84. Enfin, les empreintes de canard, disposées sur tout le ventre de l’hélicoptère, symbolisent le parcours du personnel du Centre, du passé vers l’avenir, vers des objectifs toujours plus ambitieux.

Special decoration applied to an Agusta Westland HH-139B (AW-139M) of the 84º Gruppo Combat/SAR - 15º Stormo of the Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare - AM) based in Gioia del Colle for the 100th anniversary of the squadron in 2024 and the 100th anniversary of the Italian Air Force. It features a special livery incorporating the department’s coat of arms, which tells a story—a tribute to the past and a look toward the future—beginning with the Cant-Z 506 of the 287th Squadron, represented by the Cross of Savoy on the central plaque adorned with the symbol of the 15th Wing. In the center, the sea displays the colors of the department’s coat of arms; on the front of the cockpit, a stylized head of Daffy Duck, the Center’s emblem, stands out, while on the nose, the wings of the rescue eagle are prominently featured. The bottom view reveals the symbol 100 in the shape of an infinity sign that blends into a 4; by rotating it 90 degrees, the number 84 is also visible. Finally, the duck footprints, arranged across the entire underside of the helicopter, symbolize the journey of the Center’s staff, from the past toward the future, toward ever more ambitious goals.
