Douglas C-47B-DK "Skytrain" - Greenwood Military Aviation Museum - 100th anniversary of the RCAF

Le Dakota KN451 (Ex USAF/RAF) a été acheté par le gouvernement canadien le 7 avril 1946 et rapatrié par avion au Canada et désormais désigné Dakota Mk. UIV ; le « U » désignant un avion d’instruction. Le 1er novembre 1950, le KN451 a été désigné comme cellule d'enseignement à l'école de formation technique de Camp Borden sous le nom de Dakota 655B. En août 1964, il fut transféré au Musée canadien de l'aviation (CAM) à Ottawa où il resta à l'extérieur pendant les 20 années suivantes. Il a quitté le musée en septembre 2023 pour être reconditionné par le 14 Air Maintenance Squadron (14 AMS) à CFB Greenwood. Il vient de réintégré le Greenwood Military Aviation Museum en Aout 2024 sous ces nouvelles couleurs
