Il est devenu un héros national du Pérou pour son sacrifice lors d'une mission aérienne contre les batteries écuatoriennes pendant la guerre de 1941.

Born on April 22, 1914, in Pimentel and died on July 23, 1941, in Quebrada Seca, he was a war pilot and lieutenant in the Peruvian Air Force (FAP). He became a national hero of Peru for his sacrifice during an air mission against Ecuadorian batteries during the war of 1941.
