Décoration spéciale appliquée sur un Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II du 32° Stormo "Armando Boetto" - 101° Gruppo de l' Armée de l'Air Italienne (Aeronautica Militare) basé à Amendola AB avec une décoration spéciale pour la réactivation du Gruppo et arborant l'insigne traditionnel du 101° Gruppo, un éclair rouge transperçant un serpent, sur l'entrée d'air gauche, ainsi que l'emblème de la Seconde Guerre mondiale de l'unité, peint sur le côté gauche de la section du nez, sous la verrière. Le BL-3 a également reçu un grand insigne du 101e Gruppo sur l'empennage gauche, bien qu'il ne soit pas certain que cela devienne une caractéristique permanente, étant donné que les F-35 italiens arborent généralement l'insigne de l'aile à cet endroit.
Special decoration applied to a Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II of the 32° Stormo "Armando Boetto" - 101° Gruppo of the Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare) based at Amendola AB with a special decoration for reactivation of gruppo and featuring the traditional 101° Gruppo insignia, a red lightning bolt piercing a snake, on the left air intake, as well as the unit's WWII emblem, painted on the left side of the nose section, below the canopy. The BL-3 also received a large 101st Gruppo insignia on the left tail, although it's unclear whether this will become a permanent feature, given that Italian F-35s usually display the wing insignia in this location.
