F4EJ Phantom II Kaï - 7 Kokudan - 302 Hikotaï - 40th anniversary
Pour fêter son 40° anniversaire, le 302 Hikotaï du 7 Kokudan basé à Hyakuri Air Base a réalisé une décoration spéciale sur un F4EJ Phantom II Kaï
Cette décoration reprend fidèlement l'emblème de ce squadron qui est un aigle stylisé.
La base aérienne d'Hyakuri (rebaptisée en 2010 Ibaraki Airport) fut inaugurée en 1937, au nord-est de Tokyo. Elle a récemment été ouverte au trafic civil, tout en continuant d'accueillir des unités militaires japonaises.
Hyakuri dépend du commandement central (Chubu Koku Hometai). La JASDF y a basé une escadre de chasse (Dai 7 Koku-dan), avec un escadron de McDonnell Douglas F-4DJ (Dai 302 Hiko-tai) et un escadron de Mitsubishi F-15DJ (Dai 305 Hiko-tai).
Le Teisatu Koku-tai (groupe de reconnaissance tactique) y déploie également l'un de ses deux escadrons, le Dai 501 Hiko-tai (évoluant sur RF-4E et RF-4EJ), tandis qu'une unité de recherche et de sauvetage assure des missions SAR dans la zone, avec des hélicoptères UH-60J et des avions U-125A (British Aerospace 125).

The Hyakuri air base (renamed in 2010 Ibaraki Airport) was inaugurated in 1937, in the North-East of Tokyo. It was recently opened with the civil traffic, while continuing to accommodate Japanese military units. Hyakuri depends on the central command (Chubu Koku Hometai). The JASDF based there a squadron of hunting (Dai 7 Koku-dan), with a squadron of McDonnell Douglas F-4DJ (Dai 302 Hiko-tai) and a squadron of Mitsubishi F-15DJ (Dai 305 Hiko-tai). Teisatu Koku-tai (tactical group of recognition) there also deploys one of its two squadrons, Dai 501 Hiko-tai (evolving on RF-4E and RF-4EJ), while a research unit and of rescue ensures of missions SAR in the zone, with helicopters UH-60J and planes U-125A (British Aerospace 125)

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the "Red Arrows", has revealed a new Union flag-inspired design on its world-famous jets.
Squadron Leader David Montenegro, who will lead the team as Red 1 for the first time in 2015, said: “The new tailfin perfectly illustrates the spirit of the Red Arrows – representing the UK, our engineering excellence and the continuing capability of the Royal Air Force to protect our skies.”
Last year, the Red Arrows celebrated their 50th season, performing more than 80 displays across the UK and in nine other countries.
The milestone was marked with a special, one-off tailfin design on its aircraft, replacing the familiar three-stripe livery the team’s jets had flown since the 1960s.

RAAF's newest special livery named 'Worimi'
La RAAF - Royal Australian Air Force a réalisé une décoration spéciale pour démontrer le remerciement de l' Air Force « aux hommes et aux femmes indigènes qui ont servi et continuer à servir, dans la RAAF ». L'avion comporte une illustration indigène en l'honneur des hommes et femmes de "Worimi", propriétaires traditionnels de la terre sur laquelle la RAAF Base Williamtown est construite.
Cette décoration a été dévoilé chez Avalon par le Chief of Air Force Air Marshal Geoff Brown, devant des aînés de Worimi et les parents de WOFF Len Waters, premier pilote d'avion de chasse indigène du RAAF.
AIRMSHL Brown indique : « Cette initiative exprime l'engagement de l'Armée de l'Air à l'embrassement indigène et a l'histoire d'insulaire du détroit de Torres. L'Armée de l'Air évalue la diversité de toutes nos personnes et cet avion est une manière d'identifier l'inclusion indigène d'une manière significative. Je vois avec plaisir que l'avion comporte également les inscriptions pilotes du défunt adjudant Len Waters – le premier pilote d'avion de chasse indigène connu de l'Armée de l'Air. »
L'illustration a été développée par le studio australien Balarinji et dépeint "Kilyarr Kilyarr", l'aigle, puissant oiseau de proie australien.
The Royal Australian Air Force Worimi F/A-18A Hornet aircraft was unveiled today at the Australian International Airshow at Avalon, demonstrating Air Force’s commitment to Indigenous men and women who have served, and continue to serve, in the Australian Defence Force.
Chief of Air Force, Air Marshal Geoff Brown AO, unveiled the Worimi Hornet, featuring new Aboriginal artwork, in honour of the Traditional Owners of the land on which RAAF Base Williamtown now sits.
“This initiative expresses Air Force’s commitment to embracing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and contribution. Air Force values the diversity of all our people, and this aircraft is a way to recognise Indigenous inclusion in a significant way,” AIRMSHL Brown said.
“Our people are our greatest asset for delivering air power. If we better understand, value and benefit from our collective diversity, Air Force will be a better organisation where people feel valued for their contribution to air power.
“I am delighted that the aircraft also features the pilot markings of the late Warrant Officer Len Waters – Air Force’s first known Aboriginal fighter pilot.
The artwork, by Australian design studio Balarinji, depicts Kilyarr Kilyarr, the Wedgetail Eagle—a powerful bird of prey which dominates the skies over Australian land and seascapes.
AIRMSHL Brown thanked the Defence Directorate of Indigenous Affairs who assisted Air Force with the initiative. Worimi Elders and relatives of WOFF Len Waters’ attended the unveiling.
