Un motif de tête d'aigle orne la queue, avec ses plumes représentées par des feuilles d'érable. Les 8 feuilles sont censées représenter 8 des 9 "Snowbirds", le neuvième étant l'homme disparu, en hommage à tous les Canadiens perdus cette année.

This year's theme is “Strong at Home”. It commemorates all national operations undertaken by the RCAF, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Snowbirds. An eagle head motif adorns the tail, with its feathers represented by maple leaves. The 8 sheets are said to represent 8 of the 9 "Snowbirds", the ninth being the missing man, in tribute to all the Canadians lost this year.
