Décoration spéciale appliquée sur un Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet "Rhino" du Strike Fighter Squadron 25 (VFA 25) "Fist of the fleet" du Carrier Air Wing Seven (CVW7) de l' US Navy basé à NAS Lemoore a présenté l'un de ses nouveaux Super Hornets F/A-18E Block III avec un chargement très unique suspendu sous son aile - une toilette avec un empennage de type bombe air-sol reprenant une blague réalisée sur un Skyraider pendant la guerre du Vietnam. Le 04 novembre 1965, le CDR Clarence W. Stoddard, Jr., directeur général du VA-25 'Fist of the Fleet', aux commandes du A-1H Skyraider Bu. N° 135297, NE/572, du Carrier Air Wing Two à bord de l'USS Midway, a transporté une bombe spéciale aux Nord-Vietnamiens en commémoration de la 6 millionième livre de munitions larguées. Cette bombe était unique en raison de son type... c'était des toilettes. Également unique à cette mission est le fait que cet avion a été nommé 'Paper Tiger II' (un nom temporaire utilisé pour ce seul vol)..
Special decoration applied to a Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet "Rhino" of the Strike Fighter Squadron 25 (VFA 25) "Fist of the fleet" of the Carrier Air Wing Seven (CVW7) of the US Navy based at NAS Lemoore introduced one of its new F/A-18E Block III Super Hornets with a very unique loadout hanging under its wing - a toilet with an air-to-ground bomb-type tailplane based on a joke made on a Skyraider during the Vietnam War. On November 04, 1965, CDR Clarence W. Stoddard, Jr., Executive Officer of VA-25 'Fist of the Fleet', flying A-1H Skyraider Bu. No. 135297, NE/572, from Carrier Air Wing Two aboard USS Midway, carried a special bomb to the North Vietnamese in commemoration of the 6-millionth pound of ordnance dropped. This bomb was unique because of the type..... it was a toilet. Also unique to this mission is the fact this aircraft was named 'Paper Tiger II' (a temporary name used for just this one flight).
