Décoration spéciale appliquée sur Dassault "Rafale" C de l'Escadron de Chasse 2/30 "Normandie-Niemen" de l'Armée de l'Air (AA) basé à BA 118 "Colonel Rozanoff" de Mont de Marsan avec un décoration spéciale pour l'indicatif "RAYAK" du squadron. Sur une initiative du général Valin, le Groupe de Chasse n°3 “Normandie” est créé à Rayak au Liban, le 1er septembre 1942. Le Groupe arbore les armoires de la Normandie : “Deux léopards passant d’or sur fond de gueule”. Moins d’un mois plus tard le Groupe, constitué de 58 personnes, s’envole pour l’U.R.S.S via l’Irak et l’Iran. Le 2 décembre, le “Normandie” arrive à Ivanovo, centre d’entraînement de la chasse soviétique situé à 250 km au nord-est de Moscou. Depuis sa création dans la plaine libanaise de Rayak et jusqu'à aujourd'hui, le "Normandie-Niémen" a toujours agi dans l'excellence.
Special decoration applied to Dassault 'Rafale' C of Fighter Squadron 2/30 'Normandie-Niemen' of the Air Force (AA) based at BA 118 'Colonel Rozanoff' of Mont de Marsan with a special decoration for the squadron's designator 'RAYAK'. On the initiative of General Valin, Hunting Group No. 3 “Normandy” was created in Rayak, Lebanon, on September 1, 1942. The Group displayed the Normandy wardrobes: “Two leopards passing gold on a background of maw” . Less than a month later the Group, made up of 58 people, flew to the U.S.S.R. via Iraq and Iran. On December 2, the “Normandie” arrived at Ivanovo, a Soviet fighter training center located 250 km northeast of Moscow. Since its creation in the Lebanese plain of Rayak and until today, "Normandy-Niémen" has always acted with excellence.
